North Star Group Awarded Department of Interior OCIO Support Contract18 March 2014

WASHINGTON D.C., March 17, 2014 — North Star Group, LLC today announced it has been awarded a prime Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract by the U.S. Department of Interior’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to provide Project Management Support services in Information Technology (IT) areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, governance and other areas as defined in the Department of Interior’s IRM Strategic Plan.

The BPA is valued at up to $22.2 million for five years consisting of one five year base ordering period. Under the terms of the contract, North Star Group personnel will support the DOI’s IT Transformation initiative to create a modern, consolidated IT service delivery organization that will support all DOI bureaus, offices and approximately 80,000 DOI end users.

North Star Group will provide a broad range of Project Management Support services for the full spectrum of DOI OCIO programs as they progress through their IT Transformation life cycle. North Star Group is to provide services for functional areas including tactical management planning, customer relationship management, business and financial analysis, organizational change management, and IT hosting and technology advisory services such as cloud computing and cybersecurity. This support will be delivered at DOI headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as DOI facilities in Reston, VA and Denver, CO. The above support will be provided in accordance with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology.
