Business Process and Organizational Consulting

Financial & Business Management

The North Star Group Financial & Business Management department provides analytical, financial, and business management support to multiple federal organizations. IN today's federal fiscal environment, the challenge facing Federal Program Offices is accurately maintaining a total program's financial status. Federal managers must be able to quickly and accurately respond to multiple inquires to maintain program support. The latest tools and techniques need to be used to track "real time" program progress to efficiently manage taxpayer assets while meeting agency needs.

Government Relations

Government relations is an educational process: educating business and industry leaders about the governmental process and educating Congress and federal agencies about the potential consequences that legislation, regulations or other government actions will have on a client's company or products. Federal agencies and business professionals do not always comprehend the difficulties of lawmaking, and politicians do not always understand the complexities of running an agency or business. Educating lawmakers, federal agency officials and business executives about the lawmaking process so they can better understand how to make the system work for them is an essential part of government relations. North Star Group Government Relations specialists work with our clients to help educate their executives, employees and customers about the lawmaking process. Project Management & Administrative Support

Here at North Star Group, we employ the application of modern management methodology and systems to successfully manage a project from start to finish. North Star Group has administrative personnel with extensive experience using the latest systems, tools and other mechanisms required by the position. Our administrative personnel have strong backgrounds in coordination, correspondence, travel arrangements, calendar and meeting planning/management, and development of informational materials. Systems Engineering

Systems Engineering focuses on analyzing and eliciting our customers' needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem, the system lifecycle. The objective of North Star Group's Systems Engineering team is to design, manage, and implement the multiple parts of an engineering project into a structured development process and provide a seamless, efficient transition between all elements of the system.

Training and Skills Development

North Star offers strategic training solutions to our government and commercial clients – either leveraged with our other services or as stand-alone consultancy.  We understand the complexities of large organizations as well as the unique concerns of smaller business enterprises – and we know that all organizations are challenged to stay technologically current and strategically competent.   Our professional services include training analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE) for all training modalities:  classroom, e-learning and blended.  Our team is highly competent in all forms of analysis (task and skills analysis, gap analysis, audience analysis, etc.), as well as instructional design and multimedia development.  We are adept at integrating the latest learning technologies, such as simulation, virtual classrooms, and hand-held devices, to design training that greatly enhances learning but is still cost-effective and expedient.
